Visiting Hours

Acute: 10am - 8pm

Glenarm: 1 -  4.30pm

 

Hospitals and care facilities, require the wearing of face masks as part of their COVIDSafe plan.

You must not enter any hospital or aged care facility if you:

  • are awaiting a coronavirus (COVID-19) test result (unless granted exemption under exceptional circumstances)
  • are unwell with symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), such as a cough, sore throat, runny nose, shortness of breath, or fever
  • have a temperature higher than 37.5 degrees
  • arrived in Australia from overseas within the last 14 days
  • have been diagnosed with coronavirus (COVID-19) and have not yet been given clearance from self-isolation
  • have had known contact in the past 14 days with a person who was a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19). 
  • have visited any of the listed exposure sites listed on the DHHS website https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/case-locations-and-outbreaks
  • have worked in or volunteered in any hotel quarantine sites
  • have been released from hotel quarantine in the past 14 days

Returning to Victoria

ACUTE & GLENARM

Visitors must comply with all screening and infection control measures put in place by the hospital.  Visitors must: 

  •  Wear a face mask in any hospital or care facility across Victoria unless there is a lawful reason not to do so 
  • Even with a face mask, you should keep at least 1.5 metres apart from others
  • Wash your hands after using lifts, holding railings and every time you enter and exit the patient’s room 
  • Follow hospital set rules about visitor and time limits  
  • Follow rules about wearing specific masks, gloves or gowns if requested by staff.

  

Visiting KDH

KDH have ceased visitor temperature checks.

We have introduced a QR Code to complete COVID declaration by way of using your smart phone.

 

During Business Hours:

Visitors to the facility will use the QR Code upon reading the Visitor Declaration available at the main entrance.

By completing the QR Code you are confirming that you have read the Declaration and are well and can safely be in the facility.

Reception staff will still be available during normal business hours to assist you and to attend to those who do not have smart phones.

You will still receive a sticker from reception staff before entering any departments.

 

After Hours and on Weekends (5pm – 0830 am and weekends):

The reception desk is not manned.

The QR Code is still available at the main entrance along with Visitor Declaration.

The Visitors Contact Log (for those without smart phones) will be located in the Acute Ward and Glenarm to be completed before visiting.

 

Any visitor who is unwell or waiting for a coronavirus (COVID-19) test result or has been to any of the areas of concern as listed on DHHS website should not visit.
